Empower yourself. Claim your agency. Build your niche.
Does any of this sound like you?
You do not have the ability to step away from your work for a week - let alone a month - for fear of losing money and maybe your entire firm.
You are constantly taking any case that comes across your desk because you need the money.
You are stressed out.
You are indistinguishable among your colleagues because you have no differentiator for clients to choose you.
You find yourself struggling from month to month either to make payroll or pay yourself.
You do not have a sustainable business model; you own a job and not a true practice.
You worked hard to become a lawyer. You deserve to do more than survive or subsist in a world that is simply good enough. Building a profitable niche practice is your invitation to become the lawyer you always wanted to be. The path to profitability lies in building a true niche practice. The arc of sustainability is in your agency. Stop simply surviving. Start thriving.

The Problem
Most of us did not learn all that much about practicing law while we were in law school, let alone anything about building a practice. Whether working in a large firm or a small shop, the finer points of working as a lawyer is often reduced to researching, writing, or analyzing case law. Constructing a law practice is usually a trial-by-fire process, an act of survival. Feast or famine. Eat what you kill. Take whatever case pays. Do anything and everything to get by. Essentially this is analogous to a pasta restaurant selling tacos. You cannot be best in class at anything if you are doing everything, but that’s exactly what many struggling attorneys are doing.
